Kununurra Short Cuts
A short story to a recent photograph where I received the highly commended award in photography at the 2025 Kimberley Art and Photographic Awards.
I first saw the potential of this scene as a photograph after moving to the East Kimberley from Broome in 2019. You can’t miss it. Drive on the Vic highway through Kununurra towards the Northern Territory heading to Darwin. Just after the Weiber Plains turnoff, look left and it’s there.
